Farewell

Beth Llryne Stephensen Wells Reilly, 79, left this earthly existence into the waiting arms of her beloved husband, January 6, 2009 at McKay-Dee Hospital of cause’s incident to age.
She was born September 14, 1929, the oldest daughter of Wells and Llryne Stephensen in Ogden, UT. She was reared and educated in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. She also attended Weber State College.
Beth had worked at Travelers Aid, Hill AFB, Levelor and Farr’s Ice Cream.
Beth married Thomas P. Reilly Jr. on August 5, 1954. They lived in Arkansas, Maine and Utah. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1976. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple in 1979.
Beth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mount Lewis 5th Ward. She had served in the Primary, Relief Society Presidency and was a visiting teacher.
Beth loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She looked forward to the monthly get-togethers with her daughters. She loved knitting, crocheting, camping and travelling. You could usually find her “walking the mall” at least three times a week with her sister and many “mall friends.” She was also a big John Wayne fan and loved any book that had to do with the “Mountain Man” era. She always said she was born in the wrong century.
Beth is survived by her daughters: Sherrie (Jim) Steed, Cathleen (LeRoy) Dolan, Patty Jo (Mike) Rozinka, Maureen Sparks and Dawn (David) Bennett; her sister, Llyrne Sowerby and brother, Wells (Lennis) Stephensen. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Elaine Allen, stepmother, Vivian Stephensen and a son-in-law, Harry Schuler.
